Pin Cushion Swap

I have cute pin cushions, but I’m always favoring my magnetic dishes.

This is actually the first one I have ever made. I love it! I hope that my secret partner loves it too. I think I read that she likes Munki Munki and trust me, I have a little bit of that in my stash. Just a little bit…..

I also saw many cute “dish” style of pin cushions out there. So adorable. I was looking for a cute dish and then I walked into World Market and saw this adorable easter egg holder. Loved it. I may have bought more than one. Good thing too because my first pin cushion was a disaster.

I saw a pin on Pinterest about using steel wool inside pin cushions to sharpen pins. My opinion…..NO. Just don’t. The dust got everywhere and came out after I removed each pin. Not recommended at all. Plus it was horrible to try and contain inside the cushion, little steel fibers sticking out. Ugh.

But I remade the pin cushion and I’m so happy with how it turned out. I hope my partner likes it too.
