Five Things About Me

by Heather on January 30, 2013

I’m going to QuiltCon, at least for one day (Thursday). So the first question is, why only one day?

Well, for a variety of reasons:

  1. One, my oldest daughter turns 16 that week and that is a big milestone.
  2. We have that week off school.
  3. My DH booked a lovely hotel for a weekend getaway, without kids.
I really wanted to go to QuiltCon, so I am going to do what I can…….
This is me…..I don’t like pictures of me, but there is a good angle that I do love (all my FB and Twitter profile pictures are at this angle).
Five things about me (ones that you may or not know):
  1. I have Multiple Sclerosis, or MS for short. Its complicated and my feelings about it are ever changing and I’m more than willing to talk about it, but well, its complicated.
  2. I married my high school sweetheart (and the first guy I ever really dated), over 20 years ago. :) :) :) (yes, I was about 8 at the time)
  3. I hate the summer, the heat, the sun, but I love, love, love cold weather with rain or snow (yes, I love snow)
  4. Apparently I like parentheses (see above). LOL. But really, something you probably didn’t know…. I went to school for a couple of years to be an architect. When I design quilts, I use drafting tools, its more comfortable for me.
  5. I’m a stay at home mom who, as part of a couple, made the decision to leave the workforce and take care of the house and family so that my husband could build his career. I’m happy, but some days it feels limiting.
