Silent Auction Donation

This started out as a quilt…..then it was a quilt and a diaper bag….then a few bibs were added….and to top it off, a changing pad. All using my very favorite (today at least) fabric line. I am having a serious collection issue with Kate Spain’s Central Park. I love Central Park and I love her colors and I love the architecture that is featured on the fabric and well, I think I own nearly all of it.

This whole set is for my youngest child’s elementary school.

Who doesn’t love this fabric?

So pretty. Luckily I have some left over for me.

This makes my soul happy. Baby quilts are small enough to quilt on my sewing machine and I loved every minute. I used the tutorial at http://www.jaybirdquilts.com/ Which is a wonderful blog to explore all on its own.

And did you know that Central Park comes in laminate? Oh my. I had to own some of that too for the diaper bag. Who wouldn’t love a diaper bag that you can just wipe off? Okay sewing with laminate is not my favorite thing. Especially when I cannot find my teflon foot. Not that it happens around here. Nope. Never. (cough, cough)

*made from a pattern by Anna Maria Horner. I was very impressed. I’m not selling the bag and only made one, so I should be good with the laws.

And since I’m at it, how about an adorable changing pad with the laminate? I so wish I had a baby so I could make a cute changing pad. Except that I am so done changing diapers and kind of happy about it. Its the nice thing about making gifts for others. I can obsess about baby stuff without the baby!

And finally some of my bibs. I love my bib patten. I developed it when my teenager was a baby. We had several different bibs and I liked different things about them, so I combined all my favorite features into the perfect bib. At least I believe it to be so. Oh and did I mention how well the bias binding making machine from Simplicity works? Simply amazing!

One more because I love this fabric line so much.
