My title for this post sounds like a new inner city development or something. My middle child is a bit of a tomboy. Soccer uniform is worn whenever possible. See below for confirmation. And soccer shorts match EVERYTHING. At least they are very stain resistant.
She has chosen a tied fleece blanket for her first project. It is fitting. Isabelle has a love for blankets. Her bed is piled high with 4-5 on top of her quilt during the winter. She claims that she is freezing. We live near Oregon State University, so she chose that fleece for her project. It was the most fitting out of everything we looked at.
So the tied fleece blanket is supposed to teach measuring and cutting skills. I will admit that by the time she was done cutting one side, her cutting was more precise. And she talks to me while she cuts. I found out a lot of things as she cuts and cuts. Its almost like reading her diary, I found out all kinds of good information. Every parent knows about that information, the kind that you WANT to know about. Its a good bonding.
